Flying-fox Rescue & Rehabilitation

Course Overview

Course covers basic care for “first timers” and also advanced topics for “refreshers”.

Topics include:

  • Raising orphans,
  • Common medical conditions e.g. wounds, maggots, pneumonia, stress etc.,
  • Special needs for Heat Stress babies.

Opportunity to inspect creche facilities, meet resident flying-foxes and have a look at different care set ups for inspiration for your babies.

This course is limited to Hunter Wildlife Rescue members who have completed their Introductory Course and  who can commit to caring, rehabilitation and potential release.

Please bring your own lunch. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Fridge and microwave provided.
